FOSTER CARE (BALSANGOPAN YOJANA)
The Foster Care ( BalSangopan Yojana) program is an initiative of Maharashtra Government to prevent institutionalization of children in difficult circumstances . This program was launched in 1995 and now started catering also to families referred by the Child Welfare Committee. Focuses mainly on the education of the children. Though the State Government provides the financial support for the rehabilitation of the children and their families, our social worker visits these foster families and closely monitors the progress in education and development of the children and provides support if needed by them.
CRÈCHE
Started in the year 1982 the crèche caters to young children from 3years to 6 years. We used to provide the facility also to the outside working mothers but have stopped the same now after the Pandemic. In Crèche Pre School Education is imparted through various play way activities, and hence now the crèche is a kind of play group for the children to learn, play and develop their social skills. It is a stepping stone for children to prepare themselves for formal Schooling. Apart from the beautiful conducive environment and various activities nutritious food is also provided to the children for their healthy growing. A trained teacher and helpers are appointed to take care of the children. The teacher: helper ratio varies as per the number of children in the crèche
